Fish and Game is committed to stocking the club pond & grounds with trout, catfish and Pheasants every year. We meet every 1st Monday of the month, all members are welcome to attend and all members get a say in what we do. As of now we have about 6-7 guys doing all the work. New help is much needed and appreciated, every thing we do as a committee is geared for the members of Kingston and their families. All money raised throughout the year is put back into the club.

April starts trout season 11’’-14’’ fish are stocked 4-5 times per season. There is a four fish limit (kept or released) &  2 rod limit. No limit on catfish. No harvesting of bass & bluegill. Other regulations are posted at the pond.

The annual kids day derby is held every year the last Sunday in April. This event is free to members children 15 & under. There is a 4 fish limit. We have a raffle, give away prizes for the kids, food, pop and a prize for the biggest fish in several categories. The derby runs from 9:00am- 1:00pm but only kids are permitted to fish the rest of the day (NO ADULTS).

The catfish derby is held some time in June, it is the only night of the year that you can fish all night at the pond. For $10 you get food and beverage and all the catfish you can catch. If anyone donates their catch to us, we’ll fillet and deep fry on the spot (mmmm good).

October, along with the local Pheasants Forever chapter we host the annual Youth Pheasant Hunt. This is free to kids 15 & under. Each participant is provided a dog and handler and take on a small guided hunt. Food is available along with a raffle to help defer cost. Dogs and handlers are always needed so please volunteer if possible.

Pheasants are stocked 5 Fridays in season. A total of 500 birds are stocked each year, they are divided among the 330 acres the club owns, and possibly this year we will again stock the cooperative game farm on the side of Derry ridge. Access to this area is from a parking area up Valley St. off of RT217.
We have been given the duties of caring for the 330 acres of ground the club sits upon, much work is needed to maintain and keep productive the fields and pond. At one time when man power and funds were available and we also stocked the Loyalhanna creek with trout every year. It would be great to do this again but we need a lot of help.

We also care for the Rifle Range, 25yrd, 50yrd, 100yrd. Please clean up after your self when done shooting.
The annual bash is held every February, only 150 tickets are available. Donation is $25 per ticket with food & beverage provided. This annual event is one of the best, with so few ticket holders to compete against, the odds of winning are fantastic. Watch for this event and get your tickets early because we sell out quickly.
